I spoke to my SA today...he said the ship is due at the port on the 10th.

If everything goes well, it should be at the dealer ready for me to pick it up by the 15th. My dealer is in North Hollywood, so not too far from Oxnard.

Hopefully my car wasn't damaged in shipping and has to be lagged for repaint *crosses fingers*

Glad to hear that your car will be in on the 15th, that means i'll have mine by then also. I was hoping it would be in by then since it's my birthday on the 16th. It'll be a good gift to myself

Hmm, my CA sent me an email two days ago saying it would arrive in Port Hueneme on the 11th. I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd been tracking it for a few weeks and already knew.

Guess we'll have to wait and see who's right. Anyone up for a pool? My money's on the 11th.

Man, I can't believe we're getting so close! I am in the Bay Area so I'm estimating a bit longer wait than you guys.

On a related note, is anyone getting ready to drop their current lease vehicle back to BMW as the new one comes in? Anyone worried if they'll get screwed on the "wear and tear" stuff?

I don't think they'll screw you, since you are leasing another new bimmer. If you were just turning it in and walking away then yeah I'd be worried.

I've never leased a vehicle before, but when I was considering leasing the e90 (when it finally comes in) most dealers that I spoke to said they'd be lenient at the end of the lease providing I re-lease or buy the vehicle or get into another one. Perhaps someone with some actual experience can chime in.

That's what I'm counting on. I was told that I should write it into the contract that they'll take my car as-is. You're right, most dealers will be lenient if you're getting a new one. I just hope they don't throw me a last minute curveball (taking advantage of how excited I will be to pick up the new car!)
