And freight and PDI is $1895 for Alberta, it goes up as you go further west since the only port of entry for BMWs in Canada is out east. I would estimate $36k plus or minus $2k for that config. |

I'd say you're estimate is pretty close, maybe around 37-38 k with tax, etc. As for the comments about the M3, my guy brought up the same thing the other day, and if he brings it up again I plan on pointing out the fact that there's bit of a difference between what's going be a $30 k car and a $80-90 k car. |

Well let's just all hope that the pricing is released during the Montreal International Auto Show. Once the pricing is out and good, I'll jump in my car to my deal to place the order!
So what do you all think? The pricing should be released then? |

rememebr guys, dealerships are individually owned and operated. As a result they all operate a little differently. The info loun received is probably pertinent to the dealship he went to.
I'm sure we will get firm prices in time for the Toronto Auto Show |

I don't know, I still say $42k-$43k. If it was 2 years ago I would say sure you're probably right, but $43k is way too close to 335 pricing and would mean a $10k price spread between the US 135 and CDN 135. There isn't that kind of a price spread between the 3 series models so I don't see why there would be between the 1 series models. The price spreads go up as the value of the car goes up. I can see an $8k price spread, which would be $43k.

Well in that case, the 128i will probably be 34k. I hope it's not higher than 35k! Otherwise I must say goodbye to BMW and this forum.:iono:

Look at the price differences on the new Audi TT 3.2: it's about $41.5K US, $63.9K CDN. BMW will probably not go for a full 50% markup but it will be in the ballpark... and even if they stuck to a 25% markup, we would still be at $43,750. |

If the base 135i is 45k I am out also... alot of options at that time.. especially when the 335i is so close in price and a used one with around 5k km or less is the same price...

it's hard to say...placed my order last night for Feb production/mar delivery, and the manager, still enphatically claiming he does NOT know pricing, seemed pretty darn confident that a base 128i coupe was going to be about $30,500 - $31,000... I'm prepared for higher then that, but that would be nice...
He was also saying that because it's a brand new model, and the fact that BMW want's it to compete with the Jetta and such, that it's going to be low 30's... he mentioned that the he figures the 135 will be about 7 k more then the 128, so about $37-38 k. Anyways, the wait is on, still, for pricing...and guess it's time to start trying to sell the Galant...Anyone want a fun/sporty family car?? |
