BMW CPO’ed after, I couldn’t find any evidence of accident. Narrative I’m a BMWCCA member and 15-year BMW owner. This is a great car, and I will miss it. I am selling because I went electric with a ‘18 i3s. I have an e30 (‘88 325ix) and a bike to scratch the internal combustion itch. That said, I let the 128 sit in storage for 6 months as I contemplated selling. This is a great driver-condition car. It is not a garage queen. It has been through 1.5 northeast winters with me and is often parked outside. To that end, the exterior is in very good but not perfect condition. The car drives perfectly. If there were anything to fix, I’d fix it. The manifold upgrade, tune, and brake kit really make this car an ideal, analog enthusiast DD. The Bavsound sound system completes the package. I planned to keep this car and work through suspension upgrades, but I want to dedicate all my car attention to my e30. One quirk/notes : The car is currently sitting on General Altimax Arctics (winters), with less than 500 miles on them. I mounted them leading into last winter, and then took the car off the road. My summer tires were shot when I put on the winters. I will be happy to have summer tires of your choice mounted prior to sale if negotiated into the price. === I hope to move this thing along to another enthusiast that will enjoy driving it as much as I have! Holler with any questions at all. -Nels Last edited by Nels; 08-25-2018 at 09:18 AM.. |

Should have included initially: VM55040. Full VIN added to post. Only package is sport. Notable options are BMW Assist, and heated seats and wheel. No xenons, unfortunately.

Deal didn't come together. Car is back up for sale. Bob, I'll PM you but please see note below.
While going through the car with a potential buyer we noticed that there is an imperfection in rear bumper that I suspect is from street parking. There are two visible marks on face of bumper from license plate bolts (presumably from low speed impact), and then small wrinkle in plastic on top section of bumper. Only visible when close, I hadn't noticed prior, even while personally detailing car for sale. I am going to update post with same details and pictures. |
