i really don't like the idea of upgrading lights to a more 'modern' set.....i'd prefer to leave my car from the era it was made-----so YELLOW ROUND EYES it is!! haha

i like that the 1M is of a certain vintage.....and the classic BMW lights have always been round.

I could probably ask them myself, but if anyone gets the cost of doing EXACTLY what's done in the listed photo, please post!

I'd say these suit the lines of the 1M much better than that e92, the e92 is too curvy for such angular lights.
Does anyone have another photo of these on the 1M from a further distance? If you have them on a BSM 1M that'd be even better.

Would this create a potential leak/water vapour/fog in the lights? And damage the entire headlight unit?

How long do you reckon they'll last?

Yes/yes/yes. And yes. Which pretty much sums up why a mod looking this awesome has not gone viral yet. Hopefully the owner posts more pics. Besides looking good, I like how these AE connect our E-series 1M design to contemporary F-series style.

OSS is one of the few companies brave enough to make a business out of opening up the headlights and closing them. Whether they do this by opening at the factory seam (between glass and plastic housing), or by cutting and glueing of the plastic housing, I don't know. Subsequent water damage rates are not known, OSS website lists a warranty term of 1 year (excl shipping).

General (low power-quality) LED MTBF is reported as 50k hours, at a maximum luminous loss of 50%, equating to 5-6 years of continuous running. So they can be expected to outlast your car. (Yet, if you have one failing LED, the housing needs to be reopened)
