Will an E92 M3 FSB fit an E88?

So I was finally going to get around to installing the E92 M3 FSB on my 'vert tonight...then read it won't fit.

Simple question: Is this true?

If so

I don't quite get why it wouldn't fit, I thought the only differences where in bar diameter in the middle.

Just try it anyway, the full install only takes 30 minutes. Don't know why it wouldn't fit.

Good call IDK why i'm stressing over it...if it doesn't work I can sell it quickly i'd imagine.

And yea I really don't see why it wouldn't fit. The dimensions of relevance aren't changing, i've held an E90 and 93 bar next to eachother and they're identical save for the taper in the middle. I don't believe the mounts or anything like that changes.

I'll report back

I realized I want/need adjustable endlinks, the sway par is binding it appears. So the stock one is still on right now.

but when I pulled it last night, the dimensions and mounting points are 100% identical. So there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't fit, only difference as mentioned is the thickness.

We're all set here folks

Is it worse than this? I'm debating on adjustable end links also. It drives fine and hasn't broke but doesn't look right.

My bad I missed this.

Looks similar, you can just tell there's pre-load on the bar. So adjustable endlinks are en route.

Mine are not completely bottomed out but its close. I was worried because if there needs to be movement there isn't much.

Yep that's precisely why i'm replacing mine and held off on swapping the bar until that happened.

It's pretty cheap and super easy to replace...IMO a worthy investment. These cars crash around enough as is.

Actually if you look at mine the angle of the two are different, so if I were to get new end links I'm not sure it would fix anything.

Make sure you do set an ever so slight amount of preload at rest to dial out the clunking of adjustable links.

I installed the E93 M3 FSB on my E88. If you are running stock ride height it bolts right up.

Yep, did this last week. I went with the E93 instead of the E92 unlike OP.
