Tire wear

Good day,

I had a flat tire recently and had to change one of the rear tires. I was just wondering if there was any danger to run on a mix of new and used tire( 11200kms) on the rear axle. According to the service advisor at the dealer everything should be fine. Just like to know you thought on that matter?

Thanks.

As long as you don't have an LSD you'll be okay.

I do have a LSD seem like there is 2 way of thinking 70% tell me that there should not be any problems the rest go the opposite way.

Measure your tread depth and compare to a new tire. Also, check out this link.

Should give you insight on what is a safe bet, and what you can do if your tires are too far off. The post is directed at AWD cars but the same could apply if you don't want any issues in the rear.

Well the Left tire is at 8.5/32 and the right at 5/32 even audi allow up to 4/32 on an awd car I guess the 3.5/32 should not be that bad?
