Well, here's the thing: the more special the car, the crazier a color I can take. I'm not putting a wild green on a 135iS. This thing is gonna have to ROCK to carry something that far out. Not saying they need to throw an "old man tan" on it! Just saying to keep it in line with capabilities.

I totally agree on the point that special sports cars should come in special colors. For me as well that means bright non-metallic colors. 1. Laguna Seca Blue 2. Dakar Yellow 3. Hellrot Its sad that we don't get a single bright non-metallic color, and I believe this is a clear mistake on BMW's part. |

How many BMW's that are in the hands of enthusiast have stock rev limits? I would venture to say this one will handle 8k with a chip/flash/ECU. In the onboard video the driver went to at least 7200 coming off pit lane and it didn't hit the limiter so there was more already. Remember "basis of the F30 M3 engine"...........

Would have loved Techno Violet, Estoril Blue, Sparkling Graphite, Laguna Seca Blue and Imola Red. Come on Scott, tell the blokes at BMW they need to increase the color range. This car is for the enthusiast right? If so, offer what people want, more so from something as basic but as important as color.

So lets see:
-only 3 Colors -no DCT -not that much engine modifications (340hp lol?) -limited to 2500 -speedo looks awful -probably huge upgrade list (as for europeans this means serious €) So, why should we get it????

The first M5. 1988 E28 M5. All were Schwarz Black. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M5#...2.80.931988.29 The North American spec models are unique, in that technically they were all finished in Schwarz (Black) with Natur (Tan) interiors. The otherwise virtually identical Canadian spec M5s were also available with Black interiors as an option, however a limited number of US Models were also equipped with Black interiors Also the '95 BMW M3 Lightweight, the model is M3LTW, were all Alpine White. Also the E26 M1, came in only 4 colors White, Red, Orange, and Dark Blue.

I am seriously considering purchasing the 1M, but only if it comes in some shade of blue. My favorite BMW blues in order are: Estoril, Montego, and Le Mans. If I can only get it in black, white or orange, I will have to pass.

Did u guys see this tease showing off Monte Carlo blue along side the 1M by Scott? Seems to be rubbing it in that we aren't allowed the color...

I would. Wouldn't even give it a second thought if it was a real option. Never really had it in mind that we'd see a Monte Carlo 1M, had my heart set on grey before the colours were known.
Can see a list of the guys who said they'd want Monte Carlo on the color poll: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/poll....ts&pollid=4981
