Need help with interior trim

So, I decided to wrap my interior trim in carbon fiber. Ricey, I know, but I couldn't justify spending the money on real carbon fiber trim. I had to remove the entire center console to reach the trim in the front, which was a pain in the ass to reinstall. Now my problem is I can't seem to tuck in the back of the trim that surrounds the shifter. I also messed up the wrap, so now I have to re wrap it. Any advice? I don't want to force anything because I don't want to break anything.
