The last set has sold. But I can always order more, especially now that we know the correct part numbers & prices, etc. If you do want a set, feel free to PM me. Once I get about 5 more interested members, then I can order more. Feel free to contact me any time.

If you read the thread you'll see that it was worked out that 586 coupes were sent to the US. Your VIN should be in the list.

I unfortunately am unable to read, and am sensitive to it being pointed out, but I was in no way shape or form under the impression that an 'is' badge was a rare thing. Now I need to go down, verify my VIN, and take a gander. Weird. This whim buy is getting more and more annoying because there are way too many minute variations over the course of the 1 series.
E36/8 - a cd changer, and heated seats, which may actually have been standard, were all you had to worry about beyond the HK audio system. And that didn't matter since it was just as awful, if not more so, than the stock option as far as audio fidelity is concerned. Sure, business class head unit on the earlier models, but that usually means your dealer didn't throw in a cd changer because of the stock cassette head. Whatever. My point is that this is all overwhelming in regards to trying to learn what's what with the E82 nonsense. Shoulda bought a bobsled. |

If just in general the specific differences between an "is" and a normal 135, I can probably give the full list or track down the press release which I may have somewhere or lurking on a thread as it discusses what the "is" is which grammatically looks horrible. The one sentence version is BMW just raided all their aftermarket performance parts bin for the 135, threw them all on a 135 with the m sport package, and made the bundle deal a nice value buy as it's much cheaper than had you bought them all separately...as a final hoorah and farewell to the 135i. |

Eh, cheating is fine if you're taking exams for finals, but I'd only be CHEATING MYSELF (hahaha, right?) if I didn't just keep absorbing bits here and there. I already know the 135i and the 135is differ because is' have an "s" standing for "sucker."
Never mind, being ignorant is already my forte. Cheat me up on all the stuff you mentioned, such as the press release made by a German's "making the better of use for ze English language" and an intern that can use the Interweb. Please, and danke very much. |

I think you would have to call BMW NA's archive department for that answer.

Interesting factoid, everybody. A friend of mine pointed out the cover of the June '13 issue of Bimmer features a 135is. Guess what? It's my car! Good ol' #11(?)! I guess I need to hang on to those plates as a certificate of authenticity.
My baby has been a centerfold and a cover girl! Yay! Haha, this is kinda like your friend showing you some porn your current girlfriend did. "Baby! It was before I met you!" |

Of course gregthegr8 has a photo. If anyone was going to have selfie w/ the 2013 issue, it'd be him. LOL! Great pic.

http://www.bimmer-mag.com/issues?page=2 http://www.amazon.com/Bimmer-Magazin...qid=1395715214 I can pretty much sum up the article for you though and Chunner, I don't think it'll do that much for you. Basically it's saying that the 135is is a dying breed and the last of the pure driving BMWs - when it is a manual...and doesn't have the tech package. And it blasts one of the major problems with the car as the awful runflats. So, if you have a DCT and you have the tech package, the article doesn't like you or quite apply apparently. So, I think if you have a stick with no tech package, it'll resonate and have more value to the reader/owner, whereas to someone like myself (DCT, Tech Package, PSS) my only take home message was to reconfirm what I already know/feel - it's a great car and the runflats suck. Just my 2 cents. |
