Auto to DCT Swap?

Has anyone installed a DCT on a 2009 135i? I have a weird hesitation on my transmission when it is cold and I would love to install a DCT with paddles.

I think if you’re looking for an N54/DCT combo, it would be better to trade for a Z4 35is..

Or a 335is.

OP, there are a couple of tunes (Alpina Flash and xHP) for your Steptronic transmission that would probably help. Do a search for more info on them.

I has been done multiple times just search the internet. You will need some custom coding and a little wiring and possibly a custom drive shaft.

Just sell it and buy one with a DCT. Probably cheaper.

DCT swaps have been done before. There is even a thread for it.

You'll need to do some custom work. I would recommend fitting the m3 rear end if you are going to go through all this.
