If you feel at any time it's not worth it anymore, then the 1er isn't for you! Life is too damn short to drive cars that don't make you happy.

That's for sure!

I thought DIY but they had already decided to take it apart to look at it and agreed to waive diag and an hour of labor so it was either pay $260 in diag and parts and DIY it or pay $500 and just get it over with...

CCA costs $48 a year and is money very well spent.
Definitely going to sign up!!!

Rub it in buddy, lol.

Back to ShocknAwe's point, I'm just not sure on this car right now. It's great and I love it, but now I'm looking at around $2,500 in repairs AFTER warranty payments for one year of ownership. Not including maintenance which is probable close to that with having done the brakes and some other big stuff.

Oh and my brakes are also now all grooved up after less than a year... Ugh.

Thanks - good advice that I've seen elsewhere. There is a thread on babybmw.net in the "How To's" section on cleaning / unplugging the jets and hoses. This may not be applicable to the OP's problem but clogging isn't at all a rare issue.

Yup, I'm getting my front bumper painted and having the brake vents replaced as well. Was thinking about going for the black grill.. but I can't make up my mind..
It's just too much fun to drive. It's just too much fun to look at.
It's just too much....

Grooved is no big deal. My right front rotor has been grooved since new. Almost 4 years later, still brakes perfectly.

I think it would look great on Graphite.

Paraphrasing the OP (and just about all of us):
My BMW is costing me too much money. I may buy get rid of it and spend a shitload of money new BMW.

Vs. stereotypical Honda/Toyota owner
My Japanese econobox hasn't cost me anything to run. I will buy another of the same brand.

Please tell me your extended warranty isn't through Route66.

A must IMO on these, especially with Shadowline/M-sport trim. On my F15 and E82, this was first mod I did.

I was planning on getting a Honda or Toyota as a winter car. Keeping the 135i's miles down and maintenance costs due to half the miles I would normally put on it. At least that's the current plan.
