So the Ferrari 1-2 might have cost 2 and maybe 3 engines.

I'm glad Ferrari won, but I think there are some troubling signs in their victory. Plus, RBR seems faster in general.
From what I heard from SPEED commentators...its possible it was because of the sand blowing into the radiator and affects the engine cooling...Ferrari replaced the engines as a precaution....so that they can still use the engine in later practice sessions and maybe race later....

and Rob Smedley just tell Felipe to settle down for P2 because engine preservation.....in case something will happen like Vettel.....

after all....eight engines for 19 races is harsh....they need to preserve as much as they can.....

I don't buy the premise that Massa was just preserving his engine. He fell steadily behind Alonso after they passed Vettel, and also Alonso didn't feel the need to preserve his engine. Plus, Massa admitted he had a problem.

Asked why he slowed towards the end - the margin of victory was 16 seconds - he said he was conserving fuel. "I caught Fernando in a good way, then I started to have a problem in terms of temperature in the car and it made a lot of fuel consumption so I started to save fuel in the last 25-30 laps. There was nothing to do any more. We were lucky with the problems for [Sebastian] Vettel to get past him and get some points - and lucky that [Lewis] Hamilton was not so fast at the end."

There are also the shots of Smedley on the pit wall looking closely as Massa passed by, and pointing something out on the monitor on Massa's car.

I don't see Massa making up a story if all he was doing was saving the engine. Besides, team orders are prohibited. While there are ways around that, no way would anyone from the team call Massa on the radio (which the FIA can hear) and tell him to "settle for P2".

Vettel problem - spark plug
Following a post-race car inspection it has been discovered that it was a spark plug and not an exhaust failure which lost Sebastian Vettels victory. I hope he won’t have same problems with that Renault engine as last year.

Heiki looks like a ski instructor from an 80's movie.
