Aus NZ Premium 2016 roadmap is available
Just upgraded my old 2011 1M navigation to Roadmap Premium 2016 . . . FSC code cost me US$50, map cost me zero!
Thank you internet. Highly recommend dracon@gmail.com (a guy in Canada well known on the Bimmer forum) if anyone else is interested in going down this path.

EDIT: paid $94 incl. GST for the Map update. There was probably a small labour charge in addition, but I am unsure of exactly how much as I had other jobs done at the same time. $129 from Marty sounds about right Last edited by Piets94; 01-19-2016 at 03:53 AM.. |

Just send Andrew (dracon@gmail.com) an email with the last seven digits of your VIN and PayPal US$50. He'll give you a link to the map, and generate an FSB code based on your VIN, plus instructions.
Basically you copy the map files onto an empty USB drive and then upload through the slot in the car's glove box. The car will prompt you for an FSB code, then update the software. It's easy.

I believe the 2016 maps came out in late Sept (though I don't claim to be an expert at all)

Bugger, that's about the same as I paid for my update. Last time I asked the dealer they wanted much more than that, so prices must have come down a lot . . . . at least I didn't have the hassle of going to the dealer.

I think these guys brought fake hacked 2015 maps
It's easy to change a date for a hacker Not saying they are but if bmw hasn't got them, we'll come to your own conclusions Edit Just got of the phone with BMW, there is no update to the 2015 maps from BMW Australia Last edited by martymil; 01-14-2016 at 08:54 PM.. |

BMW usually update these every Sep/Oct. You should be able to get 16', actually i am sure we have done some. I'll have to take a look next time we are doing one. Retail from BMW are only about $90ish nowadays.

Installed by biggest BMW dealer in Melbourne, Dec 2015. I'd be pretty surprised if this is a fake. |

If more than a few have 2016, that's no coincidence. More likely that the information on their computer hasn't been updated. Could also be that the latest map is unchanged as far as extra roads/etc from 2015?
Side note, I went in for the update on Marty's heads-up about the price drop. Thanks Marty! |

I'll be getting on top of this today with my dealer, checked my version number and its different.
They'll will be getting a reaming today, wouldn't want to be in their shoes after I'm finished with them. |

They were probably too lazy to order in the new enable code and had a few 2015 codes lying around :-)
Haven't seen much difference yet to the old 2012 maps. I doubt there'd be much at all to the 2015. The principle I guess. |
