Would you let your kids draw on your car?
The other day I saw this BMW 5er parked where I shop for groceries. So my question is: Would you let your kids draw all over (on) your car!?!?
I turned up the contrast on one pic to show you the kids drawings all over the hood. This was certainly no beater 5er. I was kind of shocked to see this on such a nice car. |

New BMW ART CAR ??????
Seriously, i see it at the end of the school year around my house.. all the graduates from highschool etc, sports teams at schools etc.... but its always on the glass with shoe polish and something removable... Never on the body of the car, even if it is with a watercolor marker of some sort... thast just plain stupid parents...

I would not! but in their defense it is probably dry erase markers. My daughter used to draw on the French door in the kitchen and picture window facing the backyard all the time. It will come off

when i was little my dad let my sister and i paint the hood of the family car. he took the hood off and we went to town. granted it was a V8 jeep, not a shiny 5er, but if it's just one panel, and you're willing to drive around with your kids' "artwork", it's not that expensive of a proposition to have it repainted later.

That's when you know you're pretty well off, lol...
My ex once told me when we parked at the gym once "you know how I know you drive a BMW but are still broke? there are two porsche 911 turbos parked right next to the gym in these god awful tight spots and you have to park your car far from everyone else so it doesn't get dinged or scratched. rich people really don't give a damn, if anything they'll buy another one." thought it was the funniest thing ever, it's so true. every time you see a paranoid person parking all the way at the end of the parking lot its a car like a 135, g35, 370z, m3, etc... the really expensive cars (like the V10 R8 cabrio at my gym) just park wherever the heck is closer regardless of what might happen to the car. same goes with the drawings i suppose ? |

repainting a hood shouldn't be more than a few hundred dollars at most... plenty of parents are willing to spend way more than that on their kids' pseudo-wholesome entertainment (hockey parents out there know what i'm talking about). what's more remarkable to me is the dedication demonstrated by driving around like that.

Was just thinking about this car today. I think I would loose it IF I saw this on my beloved bmw. This article made me think of this 5er I saw awhile back...
