spoke to the collision center today. so far was quoted 4000 for all of the body work, paint, and new headlight, new bumper. said they would give it an alignment and then would be able to tell if any suspension work would be needed. also asked about upgrading to a nicer OEM bumper, they said that was possible if I paid the difference. so question now is, what bumper to get? thoughts?

If they're talking about the 135i bumper, keep in mind, you'll lose the fog lights unless you figure out how to modify the setup to be able to mount the lights.

don't they have a mounting kit for it or it it just for the 128i msport bumper? I love the look of fog lights, I always turn mine on at night.

Yes, order the M-pack bumper for the 128i. Its the same as the 135i but with fog lights.

Good Luck,

no way to have BMW performance aero with fogs correct? Just the M Sport bumper?

That is correct. No possible way to have fogs with the Performance bumper.

I had a friend who had a 120d Coupe... he put on the 135i bumper cover(bc a guy went with the Perf bumper and he got it cheap)... his car had fogs and he kept getting bulb error messages... so he just plugged in the fog light bulbs and zip tired them up hidden inside the 135i bumper cover. lol

got her back yesterday, seems to be almost good as new. she pulls to the right ever so slightly. also, my interior door pull now seems loose. but I cant think of any reason they would have removed the door panel. checking airbags maybe. not sure. other than that she seems good.

I wish I could find a BMW Performance aero front bumper! Finally got a set of the OEM Tii side skirts.

Probably end up with a 135i bumper as the 1M bumper looks just too "busy" for the 128i. That's my humble opinion though.

Is that better than what it was before the accident when it was just another used car?

What did the job run? Check the air in your tires.

Well, the bumper no longer has any scratches underneath. Also the hood, bumper, quarter, and drivers door have all been newly painted. so no chips or scratches any more. so, yea it's better than when I bought it. even though it was really clean then as well.
the whole job was 4800. I paid a 500 deductible.
