Urgent gas door won't open even when pulling green lever

Car barely has any miles on it
Yea I've unlocked the door and locked it and every combination spent an hour at the gas station trying
Even the green lever is getting thin from me pulling on it

Anyone have any advice??

Open the trunk, reach in on the right side and pull the black plastic "button"(Green in this video bellow) with the cord attached to it. This will open your gas door.

Wow good to know. I hope I don't have this in my future. I did have a similiar issue with my hood latch. It was getting very hard to pull but it would open. Had the dealer take a look and the cable was rusting. They said it would be much cheaper to fix it before it breaks.

What year 1-Series require this? Or was it some kind of option? My 2011 doesn't have anything like this.

ALL BMWs have a fuel release lever/pulley/thingy in the trunk area incase the actuator stops working, usually they don't seize though, mine is one and done.

Got one coming from UK, be a few weeks

I had the same issue, luckily the actuator rod got stuck inside so I could continue to open the gas lid. I am always paranoid one day it will pop out and I will have a major issue.

Thanks for the advice on the green lever in the back!

Carry a star bit or hex key just in case, you can unscrew the two bolts and the assembly comes right out.

'New' to me one is working

The old one wouldnt even move even with a clamp. Thing is seized beyond belief
