steering wheel shimmy?

So I got my stock 207 wheels powdercoated and calipers painted. Looks great, but I have noticed that the steering wheel shimmies back and forth very slightly when I take my hands off. I didn't immediately notice anything and even took the car on the freeway for 10+ mi on the way home, nothing. It was later on when I took the car out and took my hand off the wheel, it shimmies. Maybe it was there before and I didn't notice? I have dealt with this guy before and he has been pretty honest and fair with me, so I think he would tell me if he screwed something up. Should I get an alignment? Haven't had one since I bought the car in January. Any advice appreciated. (BTW Should I go on a private track to see if it does it at high speed?)

If you got the wheels powdercoated he would (should) have removed the wheel weights. There's no other way to properly powdercoat them. Without the weights, they are now out of balance. You need to have them balanced again.
