I don't want to talk out of school, but an encounter with law enforcement officials was mentioned at lunch Sunday with Bryan and Stewart.

That's what's making me wait 'til I can sit in one before I order one. Something about being 6'3" and wider than the average linebacker... |

Obviously, small is very subjective but comparible to our '07 MCS it feels more "ensconsed" due to a taller center console relative to the Mini. The trunk is wider and deeper than the Mini but that is not saying a lot. Noticibly smaller trunk than my E36 had.
I'm not tall (5'9") but I'm wide (fat) and the front seats were very snug and the side bolsters would need to be adjusted for my comfort. IMO, anyone 6'3" should wait and drive one for fit before buying, just to be sure.

Yes, that is a cop. Good eyes. I got nabbed doing 90 in a 70 by the CHP. He was nice enough to knock it down to 80 mph. He thanked me for not making him chase me. Stu got pulled over yesterday and managed to get by with a written warning. Bastard! :bs: |

:w00t: I can't tell you how enjoyable it is to read threads like this. It certainly continues to raise the excitement for this car. Well - some of our cars are definitely in th eocuntry now just waiting for processing, delivery and release on March 22nd.... I think MWerks in Barrington IL and many dealers will be busy on that day. :drinking: Chris K - we need to have some champagne !!!

I did get a chance to meet up with Bryan and Stewart this morning at a Starbucks north of I-44 in Joplin. More to come, gotta take care of a couple work items and then I'll be back with a review.

Not over - when I left Joplin at around 1100 CST, they were headed back to Chicago - about 500 miles away. I wouldn't expect them to hit Chicago until around 1830 or 1900 tonight.

Thanks for the videos Bryan! It was great watching you guys take a dream drive across the US.
I noticed in part of your video that there was rain on the road - did you guys get a feel for how the tires performed? |

I love to hear that! Especially after a LONG road trip. I'm so looking forward to putting a lot of miles on mine! So, I gather that the sport seats are well worth the extra money. My travels are 8 to 10 hour days, so your trip helps me decide on the seats. Thanks for all of the great videos!
