Phone mounts

Hello!

So, what’s the latest and greatest with getting a phone mount in the 1 series?

The center vents seem a bit flimsy for an adapter to hold a heavy iPhone Max?

Please show me what works good?

Thank u 🙏🏼

I use the mount you insert inside the CD slot. Its just OK 🥺😂 Kind of flimsy too. Its all made of plastic but works. I think I paid like 20 bucks. Sometimes the button does not close the clips that holds the phone. Im sure there are better ones out there.

I love my pro clip mount! A bit expensive at first but you can transfer it over from car to car with a different base. It is very secure, no worries with very spirited driving.

+1 for pro clip. They’re on the expensive side for a phone mount but they’re quality, I’ve been through 3 of them on different cars and I’m happy every time

I liked the fit and quality of the ProClip, but I didn't like that it blocked the driver's vent. Never tried their Console Mount as it was too low for my taste.

I just put my iphone max in the removable cup holder, fits perfect and its not distracting.

Can also plug into aux or charge at perfect angle.

This is how I have mine setup right now and is my only gripe with it. I want to move it over to the passenger side of the center vent and see if I like that setup more...

Have any of you considered this for the removable cup holder?

I have this vent mount for daily use, and it holds my OnePlus with bumper case and that chunky magnet, weighing in at 8.9oz.

You have to crank it pretty tight and it holds up 90% of the time in normal fast driving. I wouldn't use it for hard/track driving though.

Do you find that the vent slats are strong enough for this? I always feel they are pretty flimsy and weak? I dunno 🤷🏻‍♂️

I use CD mount from amazon, ball mounted so I can switch from tablet to phone. S8 Tablet for running MHD on the fly. I mounted inverted so the screw is on the bottom side and I don't have to look at it. I have DCT and clears everything when shifting.

Definitely move it over, I have CarPlay on my nav screen and the phone is perfect mounted to the right of the screen

I use one I got from Amazon that clips onto the vent.
I went through a few of them before I found this one that's much more secure and better designed than the others.
I bought them for several cars for family members as well and everyone likes them.
