Exclamation F1 And Testing ban

In the recent events that claimed Henry Surtees's life and Felipe Massa's career now in the air following his accident, don't you think the FIA should bring back testing, more so in the case of massa's accident. Without testing how can these engineers know there million dollar parts will work like it should and not claim someones career or worst....their life!! TIME TO BRING BACK TESTING!!

Discuss.

Absolutely agree. But not just because of these accidents. It doesn't make any sense that you wouldn't be able to test your car after making modificiations before a race. If everybody can test, what advantage would one team really have over another? Then again, this irrational decision making goes in perfect line with F1's leadership. Regular people with common sense are not supposed to understand.

I think the argument was about leveling the playing field...testing is not cheap by any sense of the word...obviously your major constructors had an advantage over small teams that couldn't afford to test - like SuperAguri, ForceIndia, ToroRosso...but yes, it could have proven the fault with whatever engineering marvel Brawn was after that failed into Q2...CAD and computer simulations can only go so far..

God knows when will your 2 thousand dollar parts will fall out from your million dollar worth car....testing will put realistic stress to the parts modified.....

This will really hurt Schumacher's chances.

if refering to him not being able to test i think he will be fine...like alonso he has the ability to tell the engineers what the car is doing an how to somewhat get it how he wants it but lets stick to the topic.

What would a F1 car look like with a closed cockpit look like, would it still be F1 if something like this was introduced
