Fourth N55 HPFP problem I have heard about online. That's a low number, but not a huge number sold and a small number are online here. The later 2010 N54's seem to be fine.

The last few times I have let my car sit all day or overnight I've had long cranks, where I have to let off the brake to make it stop then try again a few seconds later. 2011 DCT.

Exactly, it looked JUST like your post!!! It won't turn over = it will not start.
I felt your pain when I saw your pic except my car is white........Also, since we are going on the close of Day 2 I'm almost certain they had to order one to replace it.

It always sucks to drop a car off at a dealer. You just never know what they are doing with it while it is out of your view. I hope you hear something back before the end of the day.

I had the same thing happen a couple times last month- also 2011 135 DCT. I took it to the dealer and they found no codes, and it started up normally every time they started it over a 3 day period. They thought it might have been bad gas. Has not happened since.

That's what I thought

I hope they find/resolve the issue and that you get it back soon.

Just to clarify, the engine turns/cranks, as the starter is working, but the engine won't start?

Or, nothing happens when the "start" button is pushed, meaning, the engine won't crank?

Either one results in a no start condition.
I'm just looking for some clarification.
Thanks.

We'll break out the umbrellas when they confirm it was actually the fuel pump and not what you have a hunch it might be?
