Yuzi's Detailed: BMW 128i (Vancouver)

I finally got a chance to detail my 08' 128i with 8000km on it.My car took lots of beating over here in Vancouver, BC (that's where u get 4 seasons in 1 day). So last week I spent the whole day dressing it up inside out. I did a 2-step Polish on it and sealed it and sealed it and sealed it and sealed it...The reason I chose to use sealant over wax is because of Vancouver harsh weather.

Procedure and Products:
1. Meguiars NXT Generation Car Wash
2. 2 buckets and Soap and Water Mixing Nozzle
3. Microfiber Wash Mitt
4. Simoniz Power Washer
5. Simoniz Wheel Cleaner
6. Aerospace 303
7. Aviation Teflon Spray
8. dollar shop Acid brushes
9. Colgate tooth brush
10. Metal Polish from co-worker
11. Microfiber towels X10
12. Mothers Clay bar
13. Mothers Clay Lube
14. CCS Pads- Orange, Yellow, White
15. Menzerna PO83 SIP
16. Menzerna PO106FF
17. 50/50 ISO+Water
18. Klasse AIO
19. Menzerna FMJ
20. LPS Corrosion Preventative
21. MIL-H-5606
22. The Body Shop - White Musk (smell good)

Holograms and Swirls all over the place

Road grime

Bird Poops

Water Spots

Dirty Rim

Clean Rims with Simoniz Power Washer, Simoniz Wheel Clear, protected with Aviation Teflon Spray and dressed tires with Aerospace 303.

Washing with Soap/Water Mixing Nozzle + Meguiars NXT Generation Car Wash

Scratched

Scratch repaired by Menzerna PO83 SIP with Orange Pad

Heavy Swirls around the door

Swirls removed by Menzerna PO83 SIP and PO106ff with Yellow and White Pads

After all the polishing I sealed my car with Klasse AIO and let it sat for 6 hours then removed

LSP with 2 coats of Menzerna FMJ

Let's roll it outside under the sun

Enjoy

Very nice!!

Sorry if I missed it above, but what did you use for a buffer and for the light to highlight the swirls?

Did you use a powered polisher? Or was it all done by hand?

I've never used a power polisher and hence just bought some hand pads, not sure if I want to try a power buffer :S

Nice job. Jet black is so hard to keep swirl free. A buffer is nearly a requirement. Good work.

That's what I figured.
Have you ever tried Eshine.ca free shipping on orders and its a Canadian Detailing web page.
I think I'll have to get a Porter Polisher.

Nice job Yuzi! The quesion is how can someone that did that great detail job get so many swirls in his paint? I don't mean that as an insult...please take it as a compliment to your good detail. My jet black 135 is over a year old and I wash my car very often but I was able to keep it vertually swirl free. Have you been going to a car wash?

good question vanbmw! Ofcourse there is a story behind. I've been detailing cars for a while as a hobby kind of job. I do my friends/some other ppl cars. So I actually take very good care of my car. However, I was out of town for a couple months and I let my sibling to drive/start the engine from time to time just to keep the fluids/engine running. Before I came back to Vancouver my sibling decided to make my car shinny again so I can drive a shinny car once I got home. It was a mistake that they drove it to a stupid handwash/detailing place ( I won't give the name of the place but it is in the center part of Richmond). AND Needless to say more you can probably guess out what happened after.

I am so glad I know how to detail a car...and
One more thing I want to remind everybody here...dun bring ur car to a place you dunno
