Will have to check mine for condensation and tighten if necessary.

Thanks for the tip.

Now I'm waiting for my 1M style rear bumper to arrive from Germany so I can get it painted and fitted.

That bumper of course comes with cutouts for a quad exhaust so i'll need to have that made too.

Today I managed to get the adjustable side bolsters working on my passenger seat. I had no idea what I was missing!

Name:  IMG_1853forum.jpg

My car doesn't have wires for them so I had to connect the bolster wires to the heater wires in order to get power.

Like this:

Pin 7 ---> Pin 9

Pin 8 ---> Pin 13

I will do the drivers side tomorrow before it gets too cold to work outside.

No exhaust tips for now since the old ones didn't line up with the new diffuser.

I'll have a quad exit made once my second set of twin pipes arrives.

Name:  IMG_1900forum.jpg

I put some aluminium tape on the diffuser since the exhaust behind it was starting to melt it from the back.

Thankfully no visible damage on the outside.

Suede Wrapping

Today I decided to try to wrap my door handle trims with faux suade.

Name:  IMG_1938forum.jpg
Views: 378

Was easier than expected and took only 45min for both trims.

Cut, spray glue on fabric, wrap the part and trim off excess fabric.

Pretty nice for the price especially if you compare to the insane price of the OEM 1M binnacle.
Only complaint was that the cover had a weird smell which would have stunk up the car.
I left it outside in below freezing temps for a couple of days and that cured the smell.

This seller has a lot of interior cloths for our cars, I also got a handbrake boot with M-stiching which I've not fitted yet.

Maxhaust active sound

Name:  IMG_1980forum.jpg
Views: 330
Size:  180.7 KB

The biggest gripe I had with my car was the dull diesel sound that didn't match the sporty looks at all. Something had to be done to make the sound quad tips-worthy!

As an engine swap was out of the question, the next best thing to do was to fit an active sound system that pumps out synthetic exhaust sound that blends with the diesel sound.

Name:  IMG_1984forum.jpg
Views: 337
Size:  333.8 KB

Result:

The Maxhaust module comes with six different sound profiles that can be indiviually adjusted. In the future I'll set it up so that I have three profiles:
off, sport, and LOUD. The mode in the video would be the sport mode (volume was about 70%) The modes can be changed with the cruise control stalk, DSC button or through the app.

Here's some in car revs with the active sound system:

I made two custom sound profiles: Sport and Race (both displayed on the video).
