How much choice/control on ED pickup date?

I'm considering European Delivery. I understand that there is a period of waiting while they manufacture the car after it is ordered. But how much control would I have over the date that I pick up the car? Do they give you a window of time? Do I arrange a specific date when I make the purchase before checking out best airfare dates?

Well, as long as you give them about 6 weeks lead time to build the car and get it ready for you, I think its up to you when you pick up the car. You tell them when you want to pick it up and they make it happen for you.

They also suggest you don't pick up the day before and after weekends or (German) holidays as the lines at the pickup center are much longer on those days.
