Well, technically, the question of this thread is "do you think of the E82 as a coupe or a sedan?"

Your thread asks "is the 135i a sedan?" So maybe you should continue debating about it there... or here, if you like.

Or maybe you want to start another thread asking "should have BMW called the E82 a sedan?"

"Potato, potahto, tomato, tomahto, oh lets call the whole thing off."

I feel like this thread should continue, since it has legs.

If the tomato tomahto reference worked, I don’t think people would getting so worked up about their coupe being more of a sedan.

I love how this is still on-going. Every couple of days I login, and boom, still talking about this.

Someone with good writing abilities should write a formal letter to BMW Corporate incorporating all of the evidence presented here and ask them to make an official decision on the designation of the E82

I don't think anyone's getting worked up here, it's all for fun, at least to me, and the Last I checked not many people think their E82 is a sedan. At least the ones who voted.

Sounds like an entertaining idea. Not me though, I don't have good writing skills and I'm happy with what the E82 is currently called.

Maybe duder13 will volunteer. lol

Oh, I didn't mean worked up in a bad way. I hope we're all having fun talking about this kind of ridiculous topic.

I should start going to car shows to bug BMW reps about this!

Hey! I tend to agree with you on about 90% of the things you say around here...as long as it isn't coupes or exhaust!

The E82 is well documented as a coupe, and the sound of the PE is subjective. I love the sound but ymmv. lol

I'm changing my vote again. My new definition is that a Coupé has two doors, no more than 2+2 seat configuration, a short wheelbase & if fun to drive.

A sedan can have 2 or 4 doors but has 5 seats. Done.

Me too. I wouldn't mind at all having an M135i 4-door hatchback. I think it's cool.
