Question Anyone try the new Gas Pedal Tuner from BMS yet?

Link here: http://www.burgertuning.com/BMS_PEDAL_TUNER.html

Looks interesting, if it does what it says and would get rid of my seemingly inconsistent but consistently terrible throttle inputs I'd be very happy lol

There's a bunch of info on the inconsistent throttle issue and someone has a full write up on their fix. For me, going MHD stage 1 fixed 90% of the issues, I still get it time to time, but it no longer feels un-driveable in LA traffic. I've heard PPK also helps some people.

Mind sharing the write-up? I've searched many times on this issue

I could be wrong but I think he's referring to the DCT issues that many have complained about but doesn't apply to you since you have a 6-speed manual.

Apologies because I rarely ever post, but at one point I was plagued with throttle lag. Have since done the PPK, and gone FBO with stage 2+ MHD, and it is no longer an issue. After the PPK, the throttle issue was not consistent, I'd catch it maybe every three or four drive cycles. After I flashed MHD, I have not noticed it. I also flashed the linear throttle, which helps out a lot as well. Matt, what are the odds of you getting your DME bench flashed? Might be worth looking into...

If I didn't have a warranty I'd bench flash it today!

I'm under warranty as well, but didn't have to bench flash mine. Dealer hasn't said a word about it.

Yeah, I didn't have to bench flash my '12, either, although I still revert to stock map when I take it in, just in case.

I wonder how this Gas Pedal Tuner differs from something like a SprintBooster?

Here's info regarding what car needs to be bench flashed or not:

Quote:
Vehicle equipped with a MEVD1726 DME (built dating from around 03-2012) need a one time DME removal and bench flash to allow OBD flashing.

Q: How can I determine if the DME is directly flashable or needs a one time bench flash?

A: go to http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select and enter the last 7 digits of your VIN in serial number. Click Browse parts in the ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and check both CONTROL UNITS > MEVD1726 section. If it says "No parts found matching your car," you have a MEVD172 which is directly flashable.
I know Matt has a 2013 so he doesn't need to check. He already knows he needs a bench flash. lol

I have the Sprint Booster in my car. Same thing only different. I quite like it. My car is on MHD stage 2+ with the linear throttle map. Coupled with the Sprint Booster set on sport my car is very responsive. My car is a 6 speed manual.

That's great to hear, hadn't heard of the Sprint Booster before either. May have to do some more research into these options
