Took a 350Z on highway
I was in fourth gear and the 350Z went on 3rd gear, upshifted to fourth, you can really see plainly that the nissan and infiniti's power range from 70-1XX is not that great... I was walking off on him, however to the best of my knowledge, the 350Z is faster than the G35 coupe on highway speeds.
I felt so good. |

Good job but I have some doubts 330i can consistently pull on the 350z? It's probably a driver's race. I pull some numbers off of road and track and they are by no means defacto written in stone numbers.
330i 0-60 6.2s 0-70 8.5s Difference 2.3s 0-80 10.6 Delta 2.1s 0-90 13.0 Delta 2.4 0-100 16.9 Delta 3.9 350z 0-60 5.6s 0-70 7.6s Delta 1 0-80 9.3s Delta 1.7s 0-90 11.7s Delta 2.4 0-100 14.2s Delta 2.5 Doesn't seem the power whanes above 70mph but maybe it's different from a roll here are the original data 350z 330i Check out the cabin noise 350z - 78db vs 330i 74db... damn that's more than twice as loud as 330i |

99% of races depend on the driver, not the car. Chances are that Sunchild was probably just shifting/driving better.

umm, my buddy in a 987 boxster S was heel toe downshifting to a stop at a redlight when we came up on a 92 ford explorer that clearly heard the engine noise. When the light turned green the explorer dropped his clutch and took off, the boxster let him go. He clearly thought it was going to be a "race"
almost no one is going to "race" you on the street/highway and almost no "race" is determined by car performance it's how many risks you're willing to take how much risk are you willing to take? you may be able to beat a viper |

maybe it was an auto..or he just wasnt trying.
i hate it when people try to race me and i punch it a little to make them go away and they think they're "beating" me lol.

uh no, believe me he was going on me... i didn't "kill" the car, I walked away from the car and clearly we both stopped because we knew the 3er would keep walking off the car.
every car is made a little different, give or take a little extra power... |

Here is an idea: take your car to a track and race 350Z. I guarantee their will be a 350Z at the track if you go to a popular track on a nice day.
The 330i will lose. Stop street racing. It’s unsafe and you’ll never know if the other driver is really trying. |

a kill is a kill, no matter if it the driver fault. I also kill my coworker g35 coupe on a highway run from about 60 to 120, pull atleast 2 car lenght on it(in the S4 though)

well if it was me i would of tooken it to the canyons(sp), it didnt take me very long to figure out that my e30 was not built to race in a straight line, it likes the curves. take him to a twisty road and then youll see who has the balls to take the corners!!!
from my point of view bmw's are made for the track or high speeds not drag. if you like to drag you got the wrong car(sorry to tell you)!! |
