Issues with window

Hi guys, I have an interesting issue. The car has been parked since December and found that the battery died. So I bought one today and to my surprise the driver side window does not lower the little portion when open the door nor go up all the way up when pulling the button all the way. It does go up and down just not by passing the 2nd stage to go up. Oddly by pressing the 2nd stage goes down no problem.

Also using the remote control, I press the unlock button and only the passenger side goes down. The driver side stays up.

Seems to be a code thing but, how this is possible w/o power?

Also what is the correct way to troubleshoot this problem?


The passenger side is ok.

Sounds like you may need to reinitialize the window motor. There's a description of the procedure here...
