+125whp/148wtq from a tune/intake
Bought my 2010 135i bone stock. Installed a BMS Dual Cone Intake and had it tuned at Bren Tuning in MA. Now I’m putting out 415whp/440wtq. That’s a gain of 125whp / 148wtq over stock baseline, you can’t spend better money than that.

Yeah, within the next month or so. Although winter is coming quick. Once I log some times i'll post them.
Basheezy, the octane is the best part. I'm on a 50/50 mix - 93/E85. Half the tank is full of cheap flex fuel, gota love it. MA is littered with Ethanol stations. Tuned for about 16psi. Last edited by 2010BMW335iXdrive; 10-16-2012 at 05:46 AM.. |

Dynapacks bolt to the hubs. Dynapacks usually read low(this one does not) but they are about the most useful dynos in the world to tune with.

415whp is awfully high for just a tune and intake... In the Subaru world Dynapacks were also know for reading about as high as Dynojets, so I guess I'm not terribly surprised.

Did you go see Bren? He just gave me an e85-93 octane map. Shit is crazy, and useless on the street, no traction even with the LSD. Congrats, btw. An intercooler, Chargepipe, and dp's will get you more juice too!

It is clear after looking at the other guy that got tuned at bren motorsports that his dyno reads RIDICULOUSLY high. There is absolutely NO chance your car is making 415 without dp or fmic.

your doubt and skepticism are expected, this tune is cutting edge and is turning out numbers that many aren't comfortable believing. I'm not the first to have had this tune, post about it, and gotten lash back. The real proof is on the road - if you're in the New England area let me know and we'll meet up and I'll prove you just how fast this car is with nothing more than an intake and an E85 tune. Cobb port, BrenTuning.
keep the doubt and lash back coming boys, you've got all you're going to get for me on this one. pm for a meetup. Last edited by 2010BMW335iXdrive; 10-16-2012 at 06:09 PM.. Reason: detail |

I believe you can get those numbers on an optimistic dyno with just a tune, intake, and E85. I think a lot of people are forgetting the E85 part, especially if the tune is specifically designed for it. What I'm not sure of (and I'm not trying to knock you at all) is if those numbers are safely sustainable. There's no extra cooling going on at all, no meth or upgraded FMIC. In the long term, it'll always run pretty hot if you're consistently making those numbers and you'll mess up a turbo. At least, that's the worst case scenario. Good job on the tune, and great numbers! Stay safe, brosef.

Those are the numbers i am getting on e85 full bolt ons. So you are saying that your car dynoed 290 stock if i do the math, that also is very unlikey. Im not saying that your car is more modded, that dyno just reads high no question

I dynoed just last Friday on a Dynojet and got 420rwhp/480rwtq. I did three runs and averaged about the same. I was boosting to about 18.5psi.
I had 50/50-E85/91. 60/40 Meth/Water. My mods are in my signature.

The website is claiming 80hp and 70 lbs at the flywheel on 91 octane.
The numbers are so high maybe with a little explanation on what is different about the tune that make s so much hp will help people believe the gains. Dynos can be fooled by mearly moving the intake air temp sensor near the hot side of the engine bay. Would you have the atmospheric conditions the car was tested under? Is the dyno set on sae correction? I would like to see the car tested a dyno dynamics dyno. I'm offering a free dyno run if you are willing to come NYC. |

You can easily prove all your doubters wrong if you take your car to the dragstrip and see what it runs. If you are really making over 400rwhp, you should have no problem whatsoever TRAPPING over 115mph at the end of the 1/4 mile.
