Help identifying rattle
[IMG][/IMG]
Anyone have an idea what this rattle might be? Seems in/around dash close to nav screen, but could be deeper. More noticeable at low speed (video is approx 15-20MPH or less), but that of course could be road noise masking it. Possible it's after a few miles and not early in trip, but haven't confirmed. Thanks...

Rattles are difficult to pinpoint.
Remove everything from your interior that could possibly move around. I had one once that I swore was inside the dash but it turned out to be my toll transponder - embarrassing. Also experiment with your sunroof open or closed. Could be a loose coin, a pen, a small tool you dropped, etc. Good luck. |

Doesn't sound anything like something rolling around the car, sounds like metal banging on something. I'd guess suspension related but just go get it on a lift.

Only suspension part near the NAV screen is the bolt for the strut brace in the middle. Has it been removed recently? It is a single use bolt that is torque to yield. 100 Nm + 100 degrees. Pretty significant torque on it. Noise from the upper strut mounts will also travel along the strut braces to that point as well.
