Fantastic! It will be really nice for the N51ers to be able to get on board. Should be interesting to see where it ends up.

Yep, I'm looking forward to it! It's just a shame that there's no huge gain for the N51 like there is with the N52 after installing the N51's 3-stage intake manifold. Regardless, it will be great once Evolve can start formally offering an N51 tune as well.

You already have the advantage of the 3 stage manifold from the factory. I'm curious to see how much the n51's can get compared to n52's. Glad to see the market expanding.

I would imagine you will be able to get close. They aren't that different from each other that you would see a 30hp delta.

Wait a minute, I just posted that I think I've reached the end of mods with this car and I see this. Back to being undecided about headers and a tune, esp. since they can turn the 02's down. That was my biggest concern for an n51. Time to spend the Christmas looking at SuperSprint's website every 10 mins. Thanks!

Updates yet?
I've contacted Evolve about this before this date (about offering Dyno time) and they didn't want to proceed. Don't know what has changed, but interesting to see the turn out |

I've got the modified ECU mapping from Evolve. Imran said that the 128i n51 mapping is very similar to the 125i. But I had my laptop stolen during a recent trip to the Caribbean so I've been delayed waiting for the replacement laptop (which I just got).
I'll be loading the new mapping as soon as I get time to upload it and spend some time on the road. At the very latest it will be this weekend, but I'm hoping to by tomorrow. I'll keep you posted! |

Great to see progress for the n51. I think evolve didn't want to bother with the n51 because it didn't show much interest, but now more and more people have been asking about it and i think they realized that there is a market for it. Excited to hear your results.

I emailed Imran the other day and he replied promptly. He confirmed the N51 tune is indeed in progress as Harry (Thanks!) has stated.
I think as more N51 (start from 2009) are coming out from warranty thus the demand started to increase. |

No. 125i is rated at about 200hp while the 128 is rated at 230hp, thats why the 125i gets bigger gains, because it has less power in the first place. You'll get both to about 260hp with a good tune(and the DISA manifold swap on the 128i).

Please do. I'm days away from ordering the AA tune and Simon tool. I'm now holding off for a week or so to see what happens with this Evolve tune.

N51 has DISA, but I agree, 260hp shall be the limit without other mop.

With the lower compression, I would be very surprised if they matched power of the N52N.
