Yoko Advan Neova AD08's

Hey guys, can I get some reviews and serious opinions on this tire. Looking to up to that for my spring summer tire, they look to hold pretty strong with the PS2's I was also looking at, infact a little better in dry handling.

Just wondering, anyone that has this tire or knows of it feel free to respond.

Also, id be going with 225's on my 8.5 rims and 255's on my 9.5 rims in the rear, any chance of pokeage? The offsets are 1er specific.

I have AD07s on the Lotus, and they are fantastic. Cornering is incredible. I plan on the AD08s for the 1er in the summer. FYI, Advan Neova tires need to be used and stored above 14degrees F. That is one of the few issues, the other being tread life, which is quite low. I think on a 135i, if you get 10 - 15k miles on the fronts and 8-10k miles on the rears, you will be quite lucky.

Above 14 degrees?

Since I dont drive more than 7-8k miles or so a year, thats no biggy i guess.

Hows the wet performance?

AD08's are great tires!

I do too much commuting so I got sDrives instead, didn't make sense spending 2x as much to drive to work.

And as kind of a side topic, anyone with the H&R OE sport springs post pics or describe how they ride. Itd either be those or the eibachs if I was gonna do springs with my shocks, but I think eibachs would be too low for me, i dun wanna rub on the 710s i have.

AD08 great. Sticky very stick on dry. Wet acceptible. I have 235s all around on 8.5 rims. They have a bit highway road noise.

Winter time, I switch over to my winter shoes. These tires need to be babied.

babied as in you need to keep them inside so the rubber doesn't deteriorate. They are fantastic grippy tires I like them. I have not had hydroplane problems, and I drove these on a track day where there was 3 inches of water. I was slower of course but still they held okay.

Ya i think these will be my tires come early spring. I could go for the ps2s but we're talkin another 200 bucks almost for not much better anything, just a little bit better road noise and wear, but these yoko's still seem very high rated on all those, specially dry handling.

The chances for 'pokeage' are very real. These tires run wider than most others in the same sizes. With your rim widths and tire sizes I would expect rubbing.

About to order another rear set!

At 90degree F ambient I was fastest and using the max amount of contact patch at 31psi front, 30psi rear.

Gill, you guys have the 225 size listed as tested on an 8" wheel and the 255's on a 9" wheel. They look decent with those, with a half inch size wider wheel how would it rub then, seeing as the 710s have 1 serious fitments. The conti extreme contact DW's i have now are the same size and they look stretched, i know thats partially due to the conti's tread width being less but if these yoko's are an inch wider, as far I can see they would line up with the wheel perfectly.

Also, I am not lowered at all either. The only time i hear any rubbing at all with my contis is when in hard over left or right and its VERY little.

Wow..thats pretty damn low pressure man. What size tire? I have my conti's at 36 front and 40 rear right now which is pretty close to oem spec. I wouldnt feel comfy going much lower than that on a low profile tire. If I got these, id prob keep em around the same.

Charles, i currently have the 18 710s on mine, 8.5 9.5. My conti tires were kinda stretched on these rims, but im hoping that 225F 255R are just right, nice n lined up with the rim edge, is there any chance ill be pokin out with rubbing with that size of these? Also, i dont do alot of CRAZY driving, but I like my grip and dry performance is important to me as is wet, the conti's really just suffer more in the dry department however they are pretty much silent and fairly comfy. These tires seemed to be the median, better dry grip, still good wet, a lil less comfort and noise. I was lookin at the ps2's also but those would be like another 200 bucks..

235s doesn't rub on mine with quite a drop in ride height, but it is quite close. just saying.
