iDrive Screen Replacement
Hello,
Does anyone know if it's possible/feasible to have the screen of the iDrive system replaced? Is this something the dealership can handle (due to screen failure or crack)? |

When I looked into it for the purposes of reupholstering with alcantara and orange stitching the NAV binnacle (much like the instrument cluster), both my dealer and realOEM seemed to suggest it is one piece with the LCD screen itself. Kinda sucks because I can't imagine the plastic trim surround costing more than $25. The price I was quoted for the screen (and attached trim) was circa $2,500. Can you kindly confirm if that is indeed the case once you get yours addressed (maybe keep the extra plastic trim surround and sell it to me )
