CODE: 377A Cooling System Deactivation Coolant pump due to block 2011 135i 70k miles
CAR:
2011 bmw 135i 71,000 miles Weather: 110 degrees f Problem: Car pop warning code (extracted by MHD super license, wifi adapter) 377A Engine cooling system: Deactivation of Coolant pump due to blockage. Detail: Drove 3 hours on highway in 40degC (104degF) weather. Went to accelerate from 80mph to 50-70% throttle > heard faint pop [sounded like plastic]. No problem until 10 minutes later CIC displayed shutdown/stop vehicle Overheating warning. Stopped for 20 minutes> oil temperature gauge on dash read 250 deg -/+ 10. Drove another hour at 60 mph through -/+ 7 def slope mountains roads. Parked for weekend. two days later, Drove back 4 hours, no problem up till the last miles from home: Overheating warning came up again. pulled over shut car down for 5 minutes and restarted: made it back. Parked for 1 day. Drove for a week, less than 30 miles round-trip no problems. Last time drove, 24 miles out of 25 miles round trip, Engine warning popped up overheating due to blockage.
