Coding out lighting errors
Hi,
I have aftermarket xenon low beam and fog lights on my car. I have an e88 09 halogen model. Recently added the black line tail lights. I have always had light yellow codes since the beginning of adding the xenon lights. Is it a big deal that I have these codes? I just have to wait for the code to go away after 10 seconds or so for me to hit my fog lights on otherwise only one will go on. All of the lights work perfectly regardless of the codes. Is it a big deal to be dealing with codes? I have been dealing with it for almost 2 years. However, how does one go about coding this out? |

There is an error counter and after it hits a certain number it can turn off those error causing lights permanently leaving you with non functioning lights. It would be best to code those out so that doesn't have the chance of happening. There is a learning curve if you want to download the tools and diy otherwise I'm sure someone local can help you out

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone have an idea how many errors the counter goes up to? Also, I just got my car reseted because a coil just went, so I presume the error counter reseted as well.
