Cool N5tuner Widebody!!! (progression pics)

UPDATE:

Here's the final product with the rear over fenders molded in:

Since a bunch of you guys are running upgraded turbos and with all the new products coming out to feed your HP needs i thought you guys would like to see something that will allow you to put the HP to the ground via wider wheel and tire setups. These are rear over fenders that N5tuner is prototyping on my car. They are hoping to have these done and ready to ship out sometime July. Should look well with the wide body 1M fenders that they produce as well. I will continue to keep posting up more pictures of the progress. Let me know what you guys think!

This is the top view with just the N5tuner Wide fenders. As you can see they are wider than the rears.

ok this is a must do.

- these go over the stock fenders? rivet?

-how much wider?

- how much did you cut out from your stock fenders?

cant wait to get these on my car. does the front N5tuner fender fit my BMW performance front bumper?

- Yes they will go over the stock fenders via rivet. Which you can then have your body shop bondo over if you don't want the rivets exposed

- The flare kit extends about 2 inches wider than stock. So depending on offset and tire sizes etc. you should be able to run 11 - 12 inch width wheels no problem.

- Cutting has not been done yet. I will wait for for this step once the car goes to the body shop. This is early prototype phase so once everything fits good they will still send it out to make a mold of it which hopefully won't take longer than 1-2 weeks.

-The wider front fenders will work with any OEM width bumper. So yes it will work with your bumper

Do they have a preliminary cost for these? And are these only going to be rears, or will there be fronts too?

ShocknAwe These ones are wider than stock by 2 inches so fitting an 11 inch shouldn't be an issue. In fact i'm willing to bet it might be possible to go 12's!

Riveting will be necessary to hold it in place but your body shop can easily mold it into the car after no problem if you want it to have that OEM look and feel to it.

Fifty3bags The fronts have been on their website for a while. They are 1m replica fenders that are wider than stock but still fit OEM width bumpers. No pricing yet unfortunately.

Less concerned with wheel size and more concerned with tires. I'd like to get a 305-315 back there, ideally on a ~11". What size fronts did you fit in there? Any extra room to upsize at all?

Thanks.

ShocknAwe I actually just got my wheels last monday after waiting for 5 months for them. I will test both of them out (8.5 and a 9.5) wheel and send the pair that don't work out to be re-barreled for the wider rear. I was not expecting to do a wide body when i first purchased them. Unfortunately i won't have tire specs until everything is finished but putting a 305 in the rear should be no problem at all.

I meant fronts that are the same style as the rear they are making. Doesn't look right to me with only the rear being that style

Fifty3bags They are trying to make the rears flow as much as possible with the fronts since they do not want to kill off one of their products. In person it doesn't look too bad at all. I'm hoping to pull the car outside so i can take a side shot of the car once one side is done and also be able to test fit the wheels to get measurements for the re-barrel. Will post up more updates soon.

indeed that was the rocket bunny kit. I don't think ours will be as aggressive at least for sure not in the fronts but at the same time it will have a much cleaner look IMO

Sounds like a cost effective solution for what I've been searching a long time for.

Any ETA on the availability of the rears?

Keen to get them and the fronts ordered as soon as they are available as this will allow me the wider rubber I need to be able I deal with the power I am now generating.

Forced_downunder The ETA is most likely end of June.
