CANFLAP. Is this all in my head?

So I got the g5 a couple weeks ago and put the the can flap always open and reconnected the connecter in the trunk but now I swear my exaust doesn't sound as good as before. I especially notice the crackling that I would normally hear when downshifting or coming down from higher rpms doesn't seem to be there and now when I turn on my car I hear a rattle from the exaust that wasn't there before. I know it's supposed to be the same I'm I just crazy?

Probably because the tuning is better and the car no longer runs rich, creating the exhaust crackling

ur start up won't sound as beast, because the canflap is working normally right wen you start the car.. and then a second or two later u would hear the jb4 kick in and open it up..atleast thats how it was with mine. there shouldn't be any other difference. but why not just unplug it from the back anyways. it doesn't do shit unplugged
