Anything else I need to install? How are those sway bars? Springs are good? How about the Flux Capacitor mod? BTW, before I go ahead and actually buy these parts, I did pay extra for the M-Sport package on my N54, none of these parts are included in the suspension upgrades? So what do you get with the M-Sport pack, just M3 springs and nicer seats?

The MSport package does not change any suspension parts. It is just better seats and trim bits.
You can also install the E93 M3 front sway bar, a nice set of Koni shocks with some springs, or install the linear rate rear springs from a newer 135i. Flux capacitor mod is a must!!! It never ends......ugh. |

I had the M3 bushings installed and have been driving on them for a week now. I can honestly say the difference exceeded my expectations. This is a must have mod for every 1er. The entire car feels better, more stable etc. Turn in is better and paired with suspension and M3 FSB my car feels planted. I couldn't be happier.

Someone mentioned that the extra camber range on the M3 control arms helps tire wear, but how is that possible? I come from an understanding that negative camber is a positive thing for handling in turns, but one of the downsides is that you wear the tire unevenly since it rides on the inner wall since I'd have to imagine that 90% of driving is while not turning.
Once I get the M3 control arms installed, is there a camber spec that I should tell my tech to spec it to, or just let him dial it (he builds race BMWs).

Yeah I thought it did. Any idea if they are M3 springs, or do I need to replace them if I want to make an M-spec car?

Just had my m3 bushings installed at Offset Motorwerks and I am a very happy camper. Car feels more planted. I take this turn on the way to work where if I went in with speed the first part of the turn is okay but on the latter part of the turn I would feel the rear momentum catching up to the front giving an "oh $h!t" moment. Don't really know how to explain it but needless to say I took that turn to test it out and the feeling is now gone

Shocks and Springs are different on MSport models. After 2011 the springs are linear, not progressive.

-sport seats -Msport steering wheel -Msport shift knob -Msport door sills -shadow line trim -increased top speed limiter -oil cooler There were no suspension changes from the base model 135. ALL the 135's also got the linear rate rear springs in 2011. Dackelone |
