rumble sound & P30FE
Need some help... my engine occasionally makes a completely different sound while driving then goes back to normal. When it happens the engine sounds noticeably louder and lower pitch. Usually the car goes into a reduced power mode when this happens.
Is that sound normal for limp mode or is it a problem that causes limp mode? My engine is stock. The last few track days I've been driving all day without issue, but near the end of the day the car just goes into reduced power mode. It did store code P30FE last time. Could this be a wastegate issue? The dealer says they can't reproduce the problem, and then said it was likely a result of having an aftermarket maddad muffler/axle back... stupid! |

I would look closely at the vacuum lines on the left(passenger side of the valve cover) to the vacuum reservoir. They often melt or pop off. The solenoids also go bad. The P30FE code is for over boosting(i think?).

Does that mean the wastegate got stuck in the closed position? |
