LCI Tail lights upgrade

Dear all,

I am hoping some of you that are more knowledgeable or have done this upgrade can help me here.

I want to sell my pre-LCI lights, any idea of how much these are realistically worth?

And then buy LCI lights, I am aiming for around £300 for the complete set, is this reasonable?

I have gone ahead and ordered the harness for £40 I found on eBay. I hope this is the correct part and will simply need coding once I have everything.

Does this all sound correct or am I missing anything?

Thanks in advance!

You will be hard pushed to sell your Pre LCI lights, I would say, most will keep them and when selling there car will remove the LCI and put the old lights back on and sell the LCI lights later.

I can see you have a 325i but is it a coupe, saloon, estate, convertible.

NOW, this is the e93 retrofit from BMW
Direct from BMW
Part No:61 12 2181 311
Price:£53.57 through Cotswold BMW

As for coding, that is simple and can be done with the Carly App.....

Part I ordered is 61122181307. Hopefully this is correct.

Just need to keep a look out for LCI lights.

Thanks for your reply btw!

Edit: I have a E92 coupe.

You should have tried BMW for your harness. I got mine from them and it was £27...
I've got my pre-lci lights up on here for £75...no takers.

Anyone know what the list price is on the lights from BMW?

And are brands like DEPO/ULO OK to use? I heard they are virtually OEM.

I got ULO lights (OE manufacturer) from Euro Car Parts. Using a 30% discount I picked mine up for £270

Not needed , but it makes it easier.

I did on my e91 and all I had to do was swapp wires position. And saved money

No need for harness. You basically swap the connector wires around.

Does this involve cutting into the original wiring in the car?

I take it you have the wiring loom,,,,

I live at SP47TU, around 80 miles from you, if you want a road trip, then I can help you fit them, I can code them and you might get a cuppa and a sandwich/beacon butty in the mix as well.

Like they said, no cutting. For each pin, there is a tab that you just push in to release the pin connectors and then from there, re-arrange them to make the LCI functionality works. As far as coding, it basically just disables your from checking the LED/bulbs.

So.... Just bagged a set, in perfect condition + boxed and wrapped, originally purchased from BMW set of LCI lights... £260.

Now for fitting and coding (I do not have the adaptor for the wires as the £40 I spent was too steep so cancelled it).

Any offers to help with this as I think it's a relatively quick job? Please let me know!
