HELP: Taillight not working! (Running light)

Thought it was the bulb so changed those out and still nothing.. switched the good side bulb with the mount it sits over to the bad side and still no light.

Could it be the actual taillight?

the other weird thing is that the light looks like its coming on inside the taillight but its not illuminating the whole actual exterior taillight.

Try removing the taillight and plugging the harness into the other (good) taillight.not sure if the connector will fit but if it does it'll tell you if your light is dead or if its the fuse /wiring.

The plastic housing that the bulbs go in probably isn't seated correctly in the taillight. Did you make sure it's clicked in?

There was a recall on the taillights several years ago. Something to do with the seals allowing corrosion to occur. The fix was to replace the seals or alternatively the entire assembly if the taillight had already failed. I had the seals replaced on one taillight which eventually failed a couple years later after the warranty expired.
