Convert washer cover to non washer cover
Like so many others, I recently noticed my headlight washer cover on my LCi e92 coupe was missing. I found a used, painted one on ebay, and when I got it I noticed it does not have the front and back clips to hold it down like my old one did.
It appears the one I bought is from a car with working headlight washers, where mine were just faux. Does anyone have advice to make sure the new one doesn't pop out as well? Is double sided tape my best bet? Thanks. |

Im not aware of fake headlight washers.
Either your bumper has cutouts and covers for headlight washers, or the bumper is smooth. I've never seen or heard of a headlight washer bumper with covers for fake headlight washers. Im guessing that your headlight washer unit fell inside the bumper and you actually have headlight sprayers. |

I also was un-aware there was a faux washer cover when a car doesn't have washers. I assumed any car without headlight washers would have the bumper cover without holes. There are several different bumper cover part numbers (with washer holes, without washer holes, with park distance sensors, etc...)
Do you think the bumper cover was replaced and is not the one from the factory?

I thought so at first, but then saw how they clipped in when I had the bumper off for other reasons...unless I have some aftermarket concoction on my car, I bought it used so who knows.
