Recaro Sporster CS's installed!
I just installed a pair of Recaro Sporster CS(BMW Motorsport seats) seats in black leatherette to match my BMW leatherette interior. The match is near perfect. I used a set of VAC Motorsport seat adaptor brackets and the BMW specific recaro adaptor set. The install was not a walk through I had to drill and tap some mounting holes on the VAC adaptors(its not their fault) these adaptors were for use with racing shells/brackets that have adjustable mounting points. The Recaro BMW specific kit came with some airbag sims and a few other mounting brackets I chose not to use for weight savings sake. what I did use was the seatbelt mount and the aforementioned airbag sim. . Now onto the seats they are excellent, everything I wanted in a seat. I am usually a race shell guy but with the coupe and little kids I need the ability to get into the back seats to put my kids in car seats so it was the reclineable sporsters for me. Now onto the not so good part that I knew was going to happen I have the airbag light on and I am going to have to send the module off to HP to get recoded for a passenger seat with no weight sensor.

thanks for all the great compliments guys. I'm really lovin' the seats but thye are not a simple bolt on affair. if anyone is on the fence Id recommend the bolt in and go packages offered by HP.

Ditch the stock belt and get two 4-point harnesses....not 5-point whatever you do!

They look amazing! Do they sit lower than your OEM seats in the lowest setting? Or are they adjustable?

Your steering wheel must feel really high! Even with my seats set to the lowest height and steering wheel set at the lowest, the wheel still feels high.
