TYRES

i have recently purchased a brand new set of Michelin PS2's for £550. Thats fully fitted. I thought that was a good price.

anyway back to thE point what is the difference between the xtra load tyres and the normal tyres. Apart from the obvious they can carry extra weight. They quoted me less for the XL than the original. Extra load were 92y and 94y
normal are 88y and 90y

Is that for 2 or 4?
Are you running 18's or 19's?

My 19" PS2's (for four) was about a £1k, which was a pretty good price (High street mobs like ATS wanted £1200+)

Its a trade only cash n carry, so there is a subscription fee. Worth it though for those prices and they do oil as well I believe.

I saw a 3-pack (litre) of Castrol Edge 5W30 for £15+VAT there once. An oil change for £35 + filter! I didn't see it the last time I was there but that doesn't mean it won't be the next time.

Halford's want £16 for a single litre.

Which did you go for? Do you mind me asking the cost per tyre? I just wondered if it was the same price in all Costo's as that seems cheaper than Watford.

Did they mind fitting non-runflats to replace the OEM runflats? My local Costco didn't seem too keen.

I went with the extra load tyres! Does anyone know why they would be cheaper?

Oh, yes time to apply for a card me thinks. Hadn't considered Costco before, but as I am / have my own VAT reg company and there's a Costco about 25 mins from my house....

The offer at Costco runs until the 23rd November. You have to order the tyres by then not necessarily have had them fitted. They don't keep runflats in stock so those they have to order.

You can buy your tyres from Costco when they have them on special offer even if you don't actually need to replace them at the time.
The price includes fitting---but you can take the tyres home and bring them back to Costco for the free fitting for up to twelve months after you actually purchased them.

It's not as tight as you think for getting a costco card, my company has negotiated a deal that allow me to use them, also govenment workers also have access. i.e. Doctors nurses, council staff etc. as well as a host of other people. If you have one nearby it's worth checking out.

I always get my tyres done at costco, cheap and reliable. Get a membership, well worth it. I bought a 5 litre tub of Wonder Wheels from there about a year ago for £6, now thats cheap.
