Hopefully this is the right place to post this but i need everyone's help. I drive an E90 328i with the stock headlights and i'm currently running LED's for both the low and high beams. When i drive with the high beams on for longer than two minutes my car will just shut them off and switch back to the low beams and if i try to switch back they just won't work. Has this happened to anyone? if anyone has ideas i'm all open. I already know my footwell module is perfectly fine and i've checked the fuses and they seem fine as well. But feel free to let me know any other suggestions!

Can this be a heat related or thermal shutdown issue with the LEDs?

Have a careful look at the wiring inside the headlights. The insulation has a bad habit of becoming brittle and falling off causing short circuits. Common fault on these cars. If it looks ok it's probably your LED bulbs causing the issue. Last edited by F31B48; 02-25-2022 at 11:58 PM.. |
