Local shop other than Curry's?

Anyone have any recent recommendations for a good non-BMW shop other than Curry's in NoVA?

It's not their rates (been customers for ~8 years) but hitting some serious attitude problems on an alternator problem.

thanks

We're are talking Ford Escape so most German shops won't be interested.

Excessive might work.

Any others?

Hahaha Hmmmm well lets see... in order of fuel efficiency & green:
BMW
Porsche (19 MPG combined!)
Escape

So I'm not the greenest when it comes to cars though the Porsche really is impressive for what it is and how I drive it I put my petroleum allotment into my cars which make me happy

The Escape is my husbands & his daily with extra electronics (Mac Mini computer), 200lbs of Hushmat, and a custom 250 amp alternator where he gets a grand 17mpg . But he loves it and hasn't itched for a new car in almost 5 years which is amazingly impressive so I don't say anything.

The alt died. The new one comes in Friday. Just need to get it installed.

What's the contact info for the gas station shop?

Thanks for the feedback. I know they've been very supportive of the DIY program. Unfortunately the DIYs I've done were at other shops. We might swing by on Sat to check out the shop.

Sammy is a close friend and an enthusiast that decided to buy a failing foreign car business so that his long time clientele can just have one big place for foreign car service. He had serviced my MBenz before and does all my cars non warranty work.

Check out his team of professionals that followed him in his business

and his virtual tour (he is the mechanic with long hair, dont let that fool you, he owns the place alongside 2 gas stations)

RRT huh? You know if they do Metro drop off / pickup? I'm not really sure where they're located, but I'm guessing it's in the Sterling / Dulles area?

yup, they are in Dulles so may not be convenient for you.

what kinda coils did you get? Curry's worked on mine and is a authorized Bilstein dealer. they are good but too bad they moved their Dulles office.

I got KW V1; I got work done at Curry's Falls Church location before...that might also be an option.
