AC Middle fan Issue
Hey guys recently, when my AC fan is on, there is a odd noise coming out of the middle vents above the Radio and AC controls.
Anyone know what this may be? I cannot really describe the noise well but it only occurs when the fan setting is over 2. Seems more prominent when i am accelerating. Will be bringing it to the dealer soon for yearly maintainence in about a month, I'll bring it up, however, does anyone have any insight here? Thanks and Happy New Year e90post! |

Does is make a flapping sound like leaves in the wind? I had that on a previous car and it was debris / leaves stuck in the fresh air intake that would make noise when you forced fresh air through it.

Did your sound just start? Before picking up my new car I borrowed my brother's 06 and never heard any noise from the climate control. With my new car everytime there seems to be an adjustment to the temperature I hear some mechanical sound from the centre stack for a few moments. I'm going to ask about it at the next service.

I think it started late summer when i used AC, then during the fall ive used the windows and the sunroof, but nowadays its gotten colder and its the same thing with heat.
Seems like we have very similar issues. My car is 2 years old. |
