lots of people were looking for a modern 2002 or even E30, but I'm afraid they porked out the car, you cant even get a sunroof delete maybe the new M1 will make up for it |

I took "too big" to refer just to the size of the 1er not it's weight. A lot of posters seem to worry that the 1er might be too small size wise. I agree that the 1er's weight (excess to many) has been been discussed quite a bit. I too would love a modern 2002 or E30, but I don't think that it's very realistic.

Unfortunately those days are long over with. When you add all the airbags, electronically nannies, and luxury goodies the car becomes pretty overweight. |

G37 or fork up the big bucks and get a 335 coupe. Leaning towards the G37 as an alternate to the 135 as I don't want to spend 45k on a car at this point in time.

The Altima Coupe is nice, but the G37 is one of the coolest cars i've seen in years. The only car the beats the G37 is the Audi A5 though. A little more expensive than the Infiniti though:smile:

Just wait until honda and toyota to jump on the 1er's band wagon and offer similar coupe for $20gs. It would not be surprising to see them within a year of the 1er release.
I would also consider the Mustang GT V8. Ford is offering great discounts and low interests financing. |

WRX Sti... Still up in the air between 135 and STi (coming out in October)..
Surprised no one mentioning upcoming Audi A1 and MB competitor to 1 series as writting in this week's autoexpress.co.uk magazine.. Other other possibilities for people to consider: G37 coupe, S2000, Mazda MX5 Miata, RX8, Lotus Elise (ye, I know), EVO X, WRX, etc.. |

If the pricing on the 135 and 128 doesn't make sense (i.e. it it's too high for what it is), I'd keep my 2003 325i and get a Harley. If there is a similar lease deal to what they have now, and my miles are more normal in a few years, I might replace my 325i with a 328i in a couple years (that lease payment on a new 328i is lower than my loan payment on my 4 year old 325i) or go used on the E90/E92 if my miles are still too high for a lease. Otherwise, I'll go with a (new or used) G37, 350Z, Mini S-type, Mercedes C230 Sport, or Acura TL.

The only thing about A5 is it is a little underpowered compare to its competitors. It's a gorgeous car after seeing one in person.

It’s either a Camaro or 135. If GM goes bankrupt and BMW over prices the 135 then probably an Evo or used 335 Cabrio. The only other option is if Mazda brings out the Kabura or Toyota brings out a Supra. Ohh the possibilities.

I shop totally on price/performance so anything under 35k, RWD or AWD, avialable with a manual or AMT, fits two kids in the back and performs well is on the table.
The neck and neck runners are an LS3 engined Camaro and of course the yummy 135. I'm just glad that it appears sports car enthusiasts will have so many options from whence to choose. |
