Australian 1ers - South Coast and Southern Highlands NSW

These we originally posted in Australian Sub Forum where I am sure other members will post much better shots when they have the chance.

Awesome photoshoot guys!

Being the only 135i up in Darwin (that I know of) would be impossible to have a club meet... maybe I should drive down....

Love the pic with the AW cars...

Well as it happens we had a visitor from Tasmania plus a couple of guys from Canberra made the trip. Dedicate bunch....

Dozen 1ers in all, plus a few Mini's and a mate of mine in his 3 Series.

Only problem was I had to leave early, so I missed the roads around Kangaroo Valley and Berry... ah well.. they are still there for next time

Would just like to thank everyone on the drive today for making myself and my wife welcome. Had a really terrific day with what was described as "spirited driving" in certain sections. Shame about the traffic on the mountain pass roads, but I guess, you can't have everything. Weather was fantastic too which made it even better. Next time maybe we will need to call the hotel at Kangaroo Valley to make sure they have enough food :-)

You NSW guys obviously like white...

I know I'm biased, but the Le Mans Blue to me looks the best/most striking colour there.

Admit that I don't mind the LeMans but mine is the Space Grey one. That being said.... the 135 is just about the only car i would consider in white

and for those who don't venture down to the Australian sub forum Guran has posted a bunch more shots there (and they are much better than mine)

Here's a small sample of the shots posted there:

Thanks Cameron. So is this a record turn-out for a 1addicts meet? 13 135i's! I'm sure it's a record for Australia, but wonder if it's been beaten elsewhere?

We might have some great cars, but jeez, do you think we could learn to park them evenly???

 Mine was the furthest out of line... but as the Parking Distance Sensors kept telling me there was a bloody big bush behind it... and I did not want to add that to the list of options on the car

And not sure if any one has done better numbers... but who cares...a good time was had by all there

Wow very nice meet and I must say the Lemans blue 135i really stands out from the rest.. the color looks so nice.. and its suprising to only see 1 black 1er.. usually its dominated by AW and BSM/JB but this time its AW and the SSMs..

Okay, I come in from shoveling snow, and log in to find this warm, picturesque, shirtsleeve & shorts, on a coastline, record gathering 1addicts meet!

Awesome.

Btw, who's car is all stickered up? Autopia... Are they a member here?

Spdrcr's sticker job dates from his recent participation in the NSW stage of the Dutton Rally ... where he accumulated a nice collection of trophies. Nice!

BTW, some may recognise the twisty elevated road along the cliffline in the background of these photos. It's called "Sea Cliff Bridge" and has been featured in many television and print advertisements around the world. The most notable is the Shell V-Power ad with the various generations of Ferrari F1 cars. Sadly, the speed limit on the bridge is only 60km/hr and it's quite short so not particularl thrilling to drive. But nice views and impressive construction.

I'm so jealous - nice pictures, nice cars, nice weather.... I could just go on and on  Must have been an amazing meet!

P.S. few words to describe our climate - snow, salt, cold (although have to say that temperatures today are above freezing).

All of the cars that attended on the day were 135s which come standard with M Sport package and the 261M wheels in australia. Given that they are a good looking wheel most people her in Oz stick with them.
