you are allowed to do everything...."its not illegal until you get caught"....

but prepared for fix it tickets....Euro plates are not approved by DMV for use....and the CHPs and all socal police are being dicks recently....i wun be surprised u'll get a fix it ticket...mind you...its not 15-20 bucks anymore...its like 75 for first offence....(but correct me if i'm wrong...not too sure about it)

they are a huge red flag that says pull me over, once your pulled over expect more tickets for anything else illegal about your car, tints exhaust etc. not sure of all the laws in california

I have a europlate and have never had any problems, Maybe its because in florida we dont use front plates. I Like my Europlate and think that it looks awesome.

I guess all of us that kept our plates from when we lived or worked in Germany / Europe and like to keep them on the front of our car are douches huh?

For the states which do not require front plantes....you can put whatever you like....
However, states like MA, CA, NY...etc.....the law requires you to put on both front and rear plates if DMV/RMV issued two plates for your vehicle....

its not a severe penalty...its just a fix-it ticket....
